Indirect Object is a photography project which combines moving image and prints that both transform and elevate common objects using perspective, lighting and movement creating visuals that are reminiscent of 1920s avant-garde still-life photography.

Still life photography is often considered a formal, largely decorative medium, offering something pretty to look at but lacking in meaning. In Indirect Object I’ve tried to challenge this idea, creating still life images that are visually satisfying but that also contain symbolic emotional meaning.
